SIMPLE PLAN HONORS FANS WITH THE PERFECT GIFT! BAND TO RELEASE
COMPREHENSIVE DVD PACKAGE ENTITLED A BIG PACKAGE FOR YOU SCHEDULED
FOR RELEASE NOVEMBER 25TH
DVD Accompanied By Bonus EP Entitled, A Small Package For
You Featuring New Track Crash & Burn As Well As Additional
Unreleased Live Tracks
Punk rock superstars Simple Plan are putting the final touches on what
could be THE gift item of the 2003 Holiday Season—A Big Package
For You, the band’s forthcoming DVD, scheduled for release November
25th on Lava Records. The package is accompanied by a bonus EP which contains
one exclusive, recently recorded new track as well as two previously unreleased
songs from their September 2003 MTV Hard Rock Live performance.
A Big Package For You chronicles the band’s unprecedented antics
from past to present, while containing nearly three hours of footage including
the band’s entire video repertoire featuring "Addicted,"
"I'd Do Anything," "I'm Just A Kid" as well as their
current hit single "Perfect.” For die-hard Simple Plan fans,
the biggest surprise on the collection is the newly recorded track “Crash
& Burn.” The song was recorded earlier this month in Montreal
by producer Steve Thompson (Rollins Band, Butthole Surfers, Red Hot Chili
Peppers.)
The DVD also includes a variety of exclusive, behind the scenes footage
and interviews, as well as out-takes, bloopers and photos culled from
the band’s experiences in the recording studio, on tour and their
many travels across the globe.
Simple Plan is considered by many to be one of this year's biggest success
stories. The Canadian quintet's signature high-energy punk rock combined
with infectious pop melodies has propelled their debut album, "No
Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls" to sales of over one million. The
RIAA certified platinum album, fueled by several hit singles, including
"I'd Do Anything" and their new single "Perfect" along
with the chart-topping track "Addicted," which went to #10 on
the pop chart, reached #1 on TRL, resulted in a 2003 MTV VMA nomination,
thus solidified the band's position as the breakthrough punk rock band
of 2003.
