Jamie Bestwick, some people
argue, is the best thing that ever happened to vert riding. And
they don't just mean on bikes.
He rides a ramp the way it was meant to be ridden, from end to end
in both directions, carving it like a Christmas turkey, in smooth,
flowing slices. His airs are head high on his first hit and get bigger
from there. He was the first rider to do a fast plant flair, the first
to do a smith grind to barspin and, in 2003, he became the first to
pull a tailwhip flair.
